A couple of weeks ago my father-in-law and I spent a weekend building me a fermentation chamber based off the one found in this thread:https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f11/new-fermentation-chamber-build-102846/index8.html
We build the left part of the plans found in that thread. Total length is 8 feet. Most of the wood was was in a pile out back. The fridge is one my father-in-law used in his office before he recently retired so that was free too. The door is one long piece of 1/4" pine held in place with 3 latches. I used two layers of 3.5 R insulation everywhere except the door which is two layers of 4 R. During testing we got it down to 50 degrees and held it using the temperature controller.
Now for the pictures. First off is the door.
The Interior. I have room for 3 carboys easily and could probably squeeze in a fourth.
The worktop. Over by the fencing sabre there is a compost thermometer (never used) so I can get a temp reading without opening the door.
