Anyone use maple syrup in a homebrew?? If so any tips or trick for it's use.

Any grade preference? Light? Dark?

Check out the recipe in my profile called "Kings Nutz". I used 11 or 12oz. of pure maple syrup. I prefer grade B since it's a little more potent and stands up to cooking better.

As for how to use it...just use it like you would use an extract. I would add it in the last 15 minutes of the boil. If you want flavor, you need to look into maple extracts, not maple syrup. Maple syrup is highly fermentable, and almost every drop of it will be eaten up by the yeast and turned into alcohol. Because of this...you won't get much of a flavor from it.

I just made a maple wheat. Its one amazing beer! Found this recipe in a book I have "Clone Brews". This beer is very easy to drink, even at 8.5%. Beautiful dark orange color, head is always there, nice medium body, at first taste you smell the maple syrup as well as taste it, not too strong at all. Minimal bitterness. Finishes very nicely! Overall clean flavor.
