What's my favorite part about brewing yeasty beers? Drinking from the bottle while mowing the yard! I have also since had four glasses of white pepper rye saison and a glass of DIPA my wife accidentally grabbed having mistaken it for my brown ale while I was bottling my barleywine.

Founder's Red's RyePA. Never had this one before. Must say I'm impressed. Can't get over how great the mouthfeel is. In other news, managed to score a bomber of Stone 17th Anniversary Götterdämmerung. Gonna crack it open tomorrow.

Another Union Jack.

In that bag lies only regret and shame. ;)

Yep, time to start playing nice Nuzz.
I hope everything heals well and you can get back to using that hand for what you enjoy, putting Big Red Coq in your mouth. :p

I know, this is frowned upon. 6 days after bottling and my hefe tastes pretty great. I'm still carbing the rest, but I stuck a bottle in the fridge yesterday. I couldn't take the waiting. I'm glad to have tried it.
Fermentation temps were high, there's no banana or bubble gum tastes. It may be on the fruity side, I think. It's great though. Can't wait until its really done.

Well, I can't say I am drinking it now since I just bought it. But it's just available in Houston, as soon as its cold it's gone.

Such a great beer. I've had a couple before and I'm so glad to have it available here in Houston now. Enjoy!

How is that drinking?

Pretty damn good! The bourbon character is nice. There's a little smoke there, but not much. I'm going to go back Monday and clean out what they have left, if any.

Drinking TNGabe's Petite Saison w/ lacto & brett.

Gotta get the recipe/process from you on this one Gabe, opening up really nicely, very tasty!

Thanks Ryan. If that's not the best beer I've made, it's certainly top 3. JP Bam Biere recipe from CYBI with ECY03, dry hopped 2 weeks with 1/2oz citra. Added wyeast lacto and cantillon brett with dry hops. I think it was at 1.000 when bottled and i added priming sugar as normal. Got a 39.5 in the saison category in NHC first round, mini-BOS, didn't place. In retrospect, it was a waste of three bottles. Wish I would have cellared the whole batch 6 months before I started drinking it. I think i'm down to 2 750s and a magnum.

I'm home! Almost 23 hrs after I left. Yowsers! I'm going to have to go back through the thread to see what all I drank. I'm sure I missed a few. What an amazing bottle share. I somehow ended up with my kleen kanteen filled with BASC, so I''m enjoying that now.

Happy bday Clint! If Billy hasn't sent your cake yet, I'll get your smurfberry upside down cake with anchovy glaze out pronto. :D

Matt, how do I grow up yeast from a plate? Got my long awaited Fantome brett today.

Well dang, if I'd known all that I would've waited to open it up with my local 'saison crew' (probably as nerdy as it sounds). I did just pitch the dregs into one of my brett saison carboys, so circle of life. Thanks for sharing!

That and the Olde Rabbits Foot collabo might be some of the better RIS out there, IMO.
