55 Degrees too cold for Starter?

Is 55 degrees too cool for a successful yeast starter? I'm getting a starter of WLP-300 yeast going this afternoon in my basement but the ambient temperature down here will be in the neighborhood of 55 degrees over the next 48 hours. If I move it upstairs, I'll be in the realm of 72 degrees...
