Hit me- I want a good summer day brew (mikey longs for summer)

Batch size 5.5 gallon
6lb American Two-row Pale
3lb American White Wheat
.5 oz Sweet Orange peel (fresh)
1lb Palm Sugar

WLP565 Belgian Saison I Yeast

Forgot the Hops!
.5 oz Summit 60 min
.5 oz summit 10min

Mash 148 for 60
boil 60 min

You know, I regretted adding the orange peel to my only saison (1/2 consumed).

Also with saison yeast try to get fermentation temps into the 80s for the second half of fermentation to get good attenuation. Otherwise, plan on using at least 1.5 lbs sugar instead of base malt.

are you looking for a proven recipe or just wondering if yours will work?

Technically you could toss in an old sock if you want since the saison is kind of a kitchen sink beer as far as ingriedents go.

The yeast and ferment temp are what are important.

Dude this beer turned our unreal

Used a heating pad set on med under the carboy. Fermented in the low 90s.

I will be doing again
