Sorry if this isnt really the right forum but i thought a beginners question belonged in the beginners forum :drunk:

Im looking to add a small amount of maple syrup to my dark ale ill be starting tonight. I will only use 250g or so but on the ingredients it says it has preservative 202 which i understand kills yeast fermentation? Will I be ok or will I risk killing my whole fermentation if I mix it in tonight?

Cheers guys.

I've used it a couple times. Just use any old Maple Syrup - Grade B is BETTER then Grade A though.

To be honest I never looked of my store bought Syrup had any preservative or not and they came out fine.
