I'm thinking about placing an order with hopsdirect.com, but they only sell east kent goldings as organics, which more than doubles the price. Since EKG's are my favorite hop, that's pretty much a deal breaker. They do sell Styrian Goldings in nonorganic form, which is about $10 a pound vs $23. Has anyone compared the two? I've had a beer made with Styrians and it tasted very similar to EKG's. The downside is their Styrians are very low alpha - 3%.

Sorry, no help to you other than to say, it does look like you can get Kent Goldings from freshops.com, if you want. 4.9% AA%, IIRC. Might be worth a call to them in the morning. I've never ordered from them, myself.

EDIT: Or, $14 from Northern Brewer.

Styrian Goldings are actually related to fuggles, I've used both and really can't tell the difference.
