Is it my taste buds or is there a difference in the flavor of beer out of a 12oz bottle or a 750ml. It seemed to me that the taste of a couple of Belgians differed in the two sizes. I have had the St. Bernardus Abt.12 in the 12 and the 750 and much preferred the 750. Had the same experience with the Unibrou La Fin Du Monde.

Am I crazy with a bad pallet or have others experienced this as well?

There could be a small difference I suppose, but it is more likely due to different storage/shipping conditions. If one is older or has been stored warmer it is going to taste different.

It might just be in your head. Larger bottles are special (at least for most people), so you brain might just be telling you that the beer is better. There are several papers out there where they have tested this with wine. The higher they priced a bottle of wine, the more people liked it.
