About to begin a Keezer build. I have most of the kegging supplies. The only thing left to do is actually buy a freezer. I am torn between 4 models. I'm looking to build a cabinet around the freezer with a coffin on top so I need a freezer that has a good amount of room without a collar. I got it narrowed down to 4 choices since my price range is 200-400:

14.8 Cu. Ft. Frigidaire

9 Cu. Ft. Frigidaire

Kenmore 8.8 Cu. Ft.

GE 7.0 Cu. Ft.

Any input would be great

I want at least 2 working taps, room for 1 carboy is a plus but the real purpose of this freezer is to make it nice enough for the living room. I was planning on making the top double as a mini bar of sorts.

here is a photo of my magic chef 7.2Cu Foot fridge

fits 2 cornys and a 6 gallon PET carboy with room for a co2 tank on the hump

That's the freezer I have. It's got tons of room. I went huge because I wanted to eventually lager with it and didn't want to go wishing I had more capacity when the beer started running out in the middle of a party. Believe it or not it was SWMBO's idea to get the bigger one! And as the name implies I had to obey! What's that honey? You want me to have a huge keezer full of beer! That's why I love her!!!!!!!!!:cross:

I ended up grabbing a Kenmore 14.8 Cu. Ft. for about 400 with tax and free shipping with 12 month 0% APR

i have a 7.2 kenmore. it fits 3 cornys, a CO2 tank in the fridge plus there is room on the hump for bucketrs when i cold crash.

If you have access to the floor models of the fridges you are looking at you should trace the bottom of a corny on some thin cardboard (from pop or beer works well), tehn cut out a few of the circles and bring them in the store with you. You'll be able to see how the cornys fit inside.

I also did a coffin type. Look at my Keezer build - linked in my signature.
