I'm brewing a Sierra Nevada Clone. I'm sparging right now have been for about 15 minutes I don't think 45 minutes will do the trick. I know different batches are differrents but if it takes more than let's say 1:15 minutes is that cool?

The longer you take, typically the more sugars you'll extract. The only thing with sparging that long is to make sure your sparge water stays hot.

I usually shoot for 45 min - 1 hour, depending on the amount of grain/sparge water, but a little longer/shorter doesn't really hurt.

Cheers!
