Late addition hops in scotch ale?

I'm brewing a scotch ale tomorrow and I'm thinking of adding an ounce of Willamette at flame out. Do you think that is a good idea? Do you think it will add anything to a big beer like that? The OG is 1.083. :rockin:
 
Hops are not native to Scotland which why most (if not all) of the styles from there are malt forward. Look up the BJCP listing for the style to see what it says.

Personally, I wouldn't do any additions after a small one at 10-15 minutes from the end. IMO a full ounce will be way too much for the style.

What recipe do you plan on brewing? That will really help.
