Where can I find a cheap SS Locknut for installing my heating element? I'm struggling. I know I need to punch a 1 1/4" hole to install it. Does that mean I need a 1 1/4" locknut too, or just an 1"? I've seen some builds on here that list an 1". Confused, and a little out of my element building something like this for the first time.

thanks for that. Seemed like a dumb question but I didn't want to order something that I wasn't sure about!

I got a 1" 304 locknut with O-ring groove for less than $5 from an ebay seller called "dailyappliance". It fits my Camco ripple element perfectly (screws all the way on). The surface is not polished but I haven't seen any that are.
