My dad is looking for some place to store an antique ice chest. The kind where the ice man would come around and drop of blocks of ice and that was your refrigerator back in the day. Does anybody use these, or a similar modern day built set up to condition or lager? There is a place on top (where the ice used to go) where I could keep frozen 2 liters and such and it looks pretty well insulated. Just wondering if I should take it off his hands for my new hobby. Thanks.

If your fermenters fit, I would jump on it. Some people have built cabinets out of rigid foam. Mine is foam and plywood.

It'll fit at least one carboy or maybe 2 kegs. I should be able to rack from the primary to a corny instead of a carboy, right? Sounds like I have a new piece of equipment!:D
