hehe....actually, I already know my beer is ruined, but, now that I have your attention, maybe you can learn from my mistake. Tip: If you aren't 1,000% sure about the quality of the yeast that you're about to use, don't use it. I made a starter from some harvested WLP001 and, even though I had concerns, I pitched it anyway. Then, I washed THAT yeast and used it in another batch (the beer tasted a little off but I just thought it 'needed more time to condition'). Bad move. I now have a little over 3 cases of undrinkable crap. So, if you're washing yeast or making a starter and you have ANY questions about quality, age, sanitation, etc., dump the yeast and get a fresh pack. Don't be a ******* like me.
