So, I decided that I wanted to back sweeten a lemonade i made. I'm gonna keg it so I decided that it would be a good idea for me to pasteurize it before kegging. so I transferred from my bucket to a sterilized pot and set it on the stove, It started heating up and everything was going good and it sat at 140 for about 20 minutes. I opened the valve from the pot so that i could drain most of the liquid without spilling it so I started transferring it back into a sanitized bucket so it could be stored till my keg is cleaned. While it was pouring in, the steam from the lemonade was pouring up and I inhaled a good amount just making sure that i wasn't spilling any. what resulted from that was an intense headache and ill feeling that I am attributing to possible alcohol in the steam. :drunk:

TL;DR: Be wary of the steam if you decide to kill your yeast by heat.
