So I have the choice to brew two Imperial Stouts, the recipes are as follows:

7lbs Pale Malt Extract Syrup
3lbs Light Dry Extract
1lb Carmel 120L
8oz Caramunich II
8oz Chocolate Malt
8oz Brown Malt
4oz Roasted Barley

3oz Admiral Hops @ 60 minutes @ 14%AA

66.5 IBU - 9.1%ABV

American Ale II

or this recipe:
7lbs Pale Malt Extract Syrup
3lbs Light Dry Extract
1lb American Chocolate
12oz American Crystal 120L
8oz Roasted Barley
6oz Black Patent Malt

3oz Admiral @ 60 minutes @ 14%AA
1oz Hallatau @ 5 minutes @ 4.5%AA

59.5IBU
8.9%ABV

American Ale II

Which and why?

where did the recipes come from? your own?

they both seem to have very high amounts of roasted malts. also i might drop the crystal120 down alittle bit.

if i had to pick one it would probably be the first since there very similar but the 1st has less chocolate malt and roasted barley but still a decent amount. it also has brown instead of black malt(which im not sure either is best for a stout)
