Poppet won't come out

It's my first time kegging and I want to clean the keg real good. Everywhere I look it says it should just pop out. Mine won't come out any suggestions?

Did you take the post off first then pop out the poppet?

take the post off, and press on the poppet with something hard. it will come right out.

I have one keg where the poppets are seated on a lip inside the posts, if you have this kind then pushing on them could break the legs of the poppets. You need to take needle nose pliers or a small flat head screwdriver and pry the legs off of the ledges from the bottom of the post. Take a look at the link in the first post in this thread for an image of this type of post. Took me several days to figure out how to get these out...
