So, I decided since my beer wont be ready for 2 more weeks, why not make some soda.

Experimenting with this, so who knows how it will turn out.

I just tried my hand a a diet pepermint soda.

Wonder what it will end up tasting like.

Oh well I am bored and now smell like mint!

so 4 gallons of water 10 tbs of sweetnlow and 4 tbs of pepermint extract.
No sugars so I see no need to boil. I just put it all in the keg, shook it up real well and started to carbonate with the co2.

Does anyone else do soda in between batches of beer?

I keep a cornie of soda water in the kegger & add concentrates. Tried some birch beer a few years back, if I do it again I'll double the flavoring.

If you like limes, vodka and ginger try Ginger Beer for Moscow Mules.

See my sig line.

You can get copper mugs on ebay.

The ice melts very fast... It makes an excellent summer cooler.

I keep a couple two liters of homebrew soda around for the kid. It keeps her interested in beer making.

an update on the mint soda.
I used too much sweetnlow, so its a bit sweet, but overall it turned out amzingly refreshing, and goes well with a bit o bourbon.
