Since I am doing a partial boil I am concerned that the portion of water I dont boil into wort might be at risk for infection. If I use bottled spring water it is already sterile right? I am thinking that I simply have to sanitize the outside of the bottles before I pour them directly into the primary. Since there are about 3 gallons.

any Thoughts?

we have nasty well water here so I always use bottled water. never had a problem with not boiling top off water

awsome, this is what I wanted to hear. Im off to brew my first batch! Thanks!

I wouldn't use spring water because they don't tell you what's in it. Wish it would be mandatory to llist the mineral content on side
