So I did this for the first time a couple brews ago and it came out pretty flat, but i've since learned that I really didn't use enough gyle. I missed my target OG by 4 points(too low), which changed the amount that I should have used.

But my question is, does anyone that uses this method also repitch yeast they have harvested from the same batch?

I don't beleive that this is considering Krausening as that should be using actively fermenting wort to bottle condition. Though i suppose you could debate that it is essentially the same thing.

Thx, Mike

Actually, they are different processes.

Gyle, or gyling, is adding unfermented wort to finished beer to produce conditioning and kreusening is actively fermenting wort used for the same reason. ;)

So what do you think about pitching additional yeast along with the gyle?

either way I'm going to start harvesting my yeast. I just wonder if it would be a waste to re-pitch some of it for priming.
