Pistol Wavin' New Haven, for now...
A little something to stick to the ribs on this first day of November.

Ingredients:
2.5-3lbs stew meat
4-5 large potatoes (I use a couple Idaho and a couple Red)
A big handful of carrots
A few celery stalks
1 small onion
2-3 cloves garlic
1/3 cup flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp cumin
2 bay leaves
1/2 tsp rosemary
1-2 14.5oz cans beef broth(depending on how thick you want the stew)
1 pint Stone Smoked Porter

Chop all vegetables

Brown the stew meat.

When ready toss the meat with flour, salt, pepper, and cumin lightly coating all pieces.
Combine all ingredients in a large crock pot and cook on high approximately 6 hours.

Here's my snack while the stew is cooking, some olives, cherry peppers, and fresh mozzarella

Anyone think I over estimated the number of trick-or-treaters I was going to get? :cross:
