Would it be ok to primary ferment a 5gallon batch in a 5gallon glass carboy or should i use the carboy strictly for secondary. I already use a 6.5 plastic but i got two 5gallon carboys for free!!! Hell yeah!!!:mug:

It's okay but if your beer fills the carboy up too much there won't be room for the krausen to form. In this case you can rig up a blow off tube but with the beer very close to the carboy mouth and depending on the yeast strain and how vigorous the fermentation is, you may loose some beer or a lot of yeast to the blowoff.

Most people use a 6 gallon carboy for 5 gallon batches.

pick yourself up some defoamer (fermcap or the like). Still may need a blowoff tube with such a small space for the krausen, but might as well try to make use of your extra fermentors.
