I bottled a Scottish Heavy yesterday and looked up to see how much carbonation I needed. The quick way was to look at my BYO Recipe book to see what THEY carbed at.
hmmmmm 3/4 cup (about 5.o 0z) of Corn sugar. geez - that seems like a lot for a Scottish. So I logged onto the Beer Recipator site and see it is more like o.5oz corn sugar (1.0 volumes of CO2).
I'm conflicted! I went with 0.5 oz since it was like an ESB - SO - I looked at BYO ESB carbing and yup - all 3/4 cup.
WHAT UP!!
Why make a clone if you totally screw the carbing.
