I'm looking to buy a mini fridge that I can convert into a kegerator/fermentation fridge for the upcoming summer - not simultaneously of course. When fermenting, I plan to use it with the johnson temperature controller from morebeer. Based on people's experience, is there a particular brand/model that you would recommend, having enough depth to fit a 6 gallon fermenter inside it?

I'm converting a danby dcr412 right now off of craigsliat to a fermentation fridge. It fits 5g carboys easily and looks big enough for a 6g better bottle.

Alrighty I'll look for one on Craigslist thanks. Did u by chance measure the clearance between the door and the edge of the 5 gallon fermenter?

About a 1/2". You can easily fit a 11" carboy in there and maybe a little more if you carve out some of the insulation in the door.
