With a california Pilsner in the Primary for the fall, I;\'m lookinga t a stout for the winter.

I like 'em dry like Guiness, in fact a guiness clone would be just fine.

I'm gonna stick with the Extract for a but yet, any suggestions?

I'll post my recipe that I brewed on Friday---an Oatmeal Stout, based on Charlie Papazian's Uckleduckfay, but amended to suit my own tastes. This'll be a bit bigger than Guinness (as it should be), but you'll be amply rewarded come January. I know you said you'd like to stick with extract for now, but if you're up for it, partial-mash isn't that much more of a leap, and the benefits are awesome. Otherwise, you can just steep the grains and use a little more DME.
