New guy from SoCal

Hey all - I've been lurking for a bit here.

Working on my first homebrew - I ordered myself a Cooper's Beer Kit for my birthday present to myself. The "Lager" (it comes with ale yeast) kit that comes with it is in the fermenter right now.

I figure every time I brew another batch, I'll do something different to make it higher quality. Next batch, I won't use the sugar, and I'll pick up a carboy for a secondary.

Who knows, eventually I might come up with something decent.

It's not too late to buy tickets to the So Cal Homebrewers Festival at Lake Casitas this weekend. I have heard it is the best CA festival of the year. I'll be there.

I'll be there as well, with the Maltose Falcons. I'm a little bummed out that I don't have any beers ready to share with the crowd, but happily one of the Falcon's 40 taps (!!!) will be serving my last batch of EdWort's Apfelwein. Should be a fun weekend. Bring aspirin!
