So in my kegerator I have major chill plate ice. Like 1-2 inches on the whole thing. My question is less about how to fix the ice and more about is it actually an issue? Other than it sticking out a bit is it really a problem?

Thanks all.

Ice acts as an insulator, so your kegerator is running more than it needs to and your temperature control isn't as good. Too much ice also indicates that you have an air leak that is letting moisture into the system.

Well I think it started when I installed the fan box which requires power so there is a very small cable running out the door. Feels pretty well sealed but apparently not. I don't have a drain hole so i don't see any other good option.
