The recipe calls for me to add 1 cup of lactose and 2 oz vanilla extract while priming. Do I just want to add this to the primary, stir it around(without splashing), and then transfer to bottling bucket on top of priming sugar and then bottle??? The recipe doesn't specify what is meant by adding 1 cup lactose and 2 oz vanilla extract @ priming./

Thanks

I would add them WITH the priming sugar in the bottling bucket so as not to stir up the trub and yeast in the primary.

:mug:

I would add all together in the priming solution then cool, add to bottling bucket, then rack beer into bottling bucket, then bottle.

dont boil vanilla extract. all flavor will go bye bye. vanilla extract is in large part alcohol..

I wouldn't add either. Is this supposed to be a sweet vanilla ale?

A Cream Ale should be neither.
