Tomorrow I'm going to my LHBS tomorrow to pick up stuffs for my first IPA.

Wondering if anyone has any favorite IPA recipes they could suggest?

Stone IPA is probably my favorite beer. Do that....OR get big on it and do a double IPA like a Pliny the Elder. As long as you get a good blowoff tube, you won't be sorry! That is a frickin' awesome beer!

My current favorite combination is amarillo/cascade. Awesome hop flavor out of those two!

Another great one not yet mentioned: http://digitalninja.org/beer/kaduva_ag.html

I made that one using a different bittering hop than Chinook (I was afraid of harshness but next time I'll use the chinook) and it was a favorite of mine.

I suggest coming up with your own recipe. Use lots of hops (I like cascade), particularly for flavor and aroma.

Oh, and don't overdo it on the SG, or you'll be forced to condition the brew forever before it gets really good (at least that's my experience).

Start simple, start small, RDWHAHB, etc.
