Use something with a decent amount of hops(in excess of 1 oz) to avoid unused hops and the need to reseal.

IPA sounds good :)
 
I brewed this as a 1.75 gallon recipe, tasted a sample today and am really digging it. Scaled this down to 1 gallon. Oak chips are optional and should be added after primary fermentation is finished. Add the .5lb of DME with 15 minutes left in the boil.
