I’m putting together a kegerator in a small frig with limited space. Two kegs and a 5 lb CO2 tank fit, but it is tight. There is a little interference problem with the regulator. Can I have just a barbed fitting on the tank and run tubing to the regulator so that it can be mounted out of the way? Or is there too much pressure coming directly out of the tank for tubing?
 
There's a thread on this, but the gist is, there are high pressure (3000 psi) lines made for paintballers that can be used to connect the tank and regulator.
