Hello,

I have a question on bottling wands.

I tried the spring loaded ones and the regular one.

1. the spring loaded ones are great, nice lock but need to push down - the spring is too strong.
2. the regular requires no push down but occasionally when you take the wand out of the bottle the tip is not locked and they is a fast drip. It's extremely annoying.I feel that the issue with the no spring one is the design.

Is there any other option to the above two.

Thanks!

There is the type that is just a tube with a clamp. With this type you need to gauge the headspace of each bottle. Haven't heard anything good about this method.

I use the spring tip wand. I have it attached to the bottling bucket with three inches of the wand tubing. Sitting on a rolling mechanics stool, for comfort, push the bottle upward to open the spring loaded valve. The bottling bucket is on the counter top. Having the bucket above the open door of the dishwasher will take care of drips.
