Does lactose add gravity points?

Yes, it's a sugar... however, those gravity points will not come back down since it is not a fermentable sugar. That sweetness will stay in your beer.
 
Unless you have Brett or a kefir culture or something weird in there.

Lactose will add points to the OG and a nearly equal number of points to the FG. I think the amount of points is the same as white sugar of the same quantity. Maltodextrin has a similar result but with less sweetness.
