Completed my first brew day, a porter, about 2 weeks ago and had a boil over:(. To my surprise I was still able to hit my OG pretty spot on (1.045).

The brew has been in the fermenter for two weeks with average temps between 62-65.

I have gotten consistent gravity reading of 1.020 over the last 5 days. My target was 1.016-1.010.

My question is, could my higher FG be a result of the boil over I had?
Did a search but no luck. Sorry if this has been covered before

1020 just means your yeast didn't ferment out completely. Boil over would only have an effect on OG and even then most likely not as long as you boiled down to the same volume. Once you have all your runnings collected and mixed in the boil pot, you're Gravity is set based on boil off %. You will just get less volume from the boil over.
