Pilsner starter kits?

Hey guys, new here...

Just wondering if you guys would recommend starter kits, or is it best to buy everything individually and learn from trial & error? I'm thinking of purchasing this kit here, since it is very cheap, and seems to contain everything I need! What do you guys think about this idea?

A starter kit is a pretty good way to go. You'll outgrow it all eventually, but inception can be daunting without a guide. So, a kit and a good book is a great start. Try How to Brew or Joy of Homebrewing.

The one thing you need more than anything, though, is not included in any kit. It's this site. Keep reading.

That kit is very similar to what I started with, you may want to start with an ale for a batch or two before you hop into a lager though...kinda like crawling before you walk. If you go with a lager first, just do some reading to understand the fermentation temperature schedules etc.
