sound very refreshing, I would go with come centennial and cascade to give it some cirtus bitter notes. I hear you about bbq'ing when its hot, it dont stop me even though S. Texas can have 100% humidity, F%$K it

this one is quite roasty and slightly acrid on that note, but the other aspects balance it perfectly, trust me on this one, its great.

8.25 lbs british pale
1.5 lbs american crystal 120
1 lbs british chocolate
1.25 lbs roasted barley
1 lbs flaked wheat

2 oz goldings @ 60min
1 lbs lactose @ 5 min

mash @ 154f for 60 min

73% efficiency
5.9%abv

happy brewing yall :mug:

so i made up this batch this weekend and my mash efficiency ended up being 84% instead of 73%. my abv is 7.7. wow, very happy about those results. will let yall know how it is in 4 weeks when its done and kegged.

Just an FYI, please do not post recipes here until they are tried and true. Get it brewed, drank, tweeked and rebrewed until you have it right before posting it here.

I have been burned on a 10 gallon batch once before because of this.

this one is totally fantastic.

8 lbs german pilsner malt
1 lbs german munich
.5 lbs british carastan light
.5 lbs flaked wheat

brewhouse efficiency achieved is 75%

1.5 oz hallertauer @ 60 min
.5 oz tettnanger @ 15 min

protein rest @ 122f for 30 min
mash @ 146f for 90 min
fly sparge @ 175f for 30 min

dont forget to lager in the keg @ 33f for 21 days after completion

this one turned out absolutely fantastic, far better than i expected. flavor is roughly similar to spaten pils. finished beer was completely clear except for some chill haze. i made a 10 gallon batch of this recipe and finished it a week ago, and already cleaned 5 gallons out of one keg. yikes!!! too damn good, maybe a 20 gallon next time.

here goes my belgian wit.

4 lbs belgian pilsner
.5 lbs american 6-row
3.5 lbs flaked wheat
.5 lbs cara-pils
1.5 lbs rolled oats.

1 oz hallertauer @ 60 min

orange zest and peel @ last 10 min

protein rest @ 122f for 30 min
mash @ 150f for 75 min
fly sparge @ 175f for 20 min

condition in the keg @ 36f for 7 days

Sounds nice. I like my pils about 40 Ibu with saaz in the flav/finish.

My neighbor would probably really like this one. He's an AG brewer as well.

I might make something close to this for the summer.. Carastan light? Is that around 20 lov?
