Not the prettiest I've seen, but works great. Now to try it out with my WPL029 that I washed:ban:

On another note...I just picked up a 2000ml flask at the LHBS(18.50), and it doesn't have any manufacturer specific markings on it. Will this be safe to go from stove top boil to cold water for chilling?

that homade model looks like my store bought minus the switch. How much $?

That flask looks fine.

I just noticed that you have a long stir bar. Wonder if it will spin right.
 
Got the fan, box, and rheostat at Radio shack for $20.00. I had the switch, power supply, and magnets. The stir bar is one I happened to have lying around, but I'm going to get a smaller one( 1" probably). It is spinning in the picture, and works pretty good, but a smaller one should be even better. I did a boil and chill in the flask about 1/2 hour ago, so I guess it's ok:rockin:
Decided to try it out with some dregs from a few Spaten Hefe's I had.
