Hey everyone, just made an Imperial IPA using some hops I had leftover from last year.
Here's the recipe I used:
13 lb Two row
1 lb British Crystal 1
8 oz Cara Pils
4 oz Red Wheat
1 lb corn sugar
OG came out to about 1.090 for 5 gallons.
My hop schedule was:
.75 oz warrior 60 min
.5 oz simcoe 60 min
1 oz warrior 10 min
1 oz simcoe 10 min
2 oz mittlefrue 5 min
I pitched two US-05 packets into the primary for a quick 62*F healthy fermentation! :rockin: (see attached picture)
After the primary fermentation I plan on racking to the secondary with 4 oz Centennial hops for about one week. Followed by dry hopping again in the keg with 1 oz tetthang.
How does this hop plan look? I'm fairly new to determining what hops are best for what and was hoping for a little noble hop kick to my IPA.
