My dilemma is this:
I ordered supplies from online vendor, forgot to add the yeast ice package.
Yeast shows up and I make a starter.
Yeast is dead.
I have a batch of beer that used the same thread in my brew closet. It's in primary and is a pumpkin brew...with lots of pumpkin.
I know there's a fair amount of delicious yeast mixed in with that pumpkin.
Would swirling all the trub into a ~half full 3g carboy and putting it in the fridge help facilitate "washing?"
Also, would I be able to wash enough nastiness away that I could have viable yeast for a brewing tomorrow?
Thanks.
