I haven't been brewing for very long but I can honestly say that I have never had an infection problem. Until last night.

SWMBO decided she would like a pint while she was watching TV and went to pour herself one. I looked up just in time to see the froth hit the ceiling.

The whole batch has had a bit of a funny flavour. Not bad just funny. I guess there is a bit of bacteria in it.

The look on her face was priceless.

A bottle bomb is when a bottle actually explodes like a hand grenade sending shard of glass all over the place. Usually from over carbing, infection or a flaw in the bottle.

SOunds like you just had a gusher..
