I am collecting the yeast slurry of a batch I am transferring to the secondary today into a sanitized mason jar. However, it will be 6 days before I plan to brew and pitch the slurry. Will I be ok if I skip making a starter, or is a week too long?

In the past when I have done this, I have pitched the slurry either the same day or the next day so I never really worried about it.
