making 10 gal electric cooler hlt

Ive been search for a while and cant find any how tos for making an electric 10 gal round cooler hlt. ive seen where people have done it, but im now sure what type of elements they are using and how they are drilling the coolers. any help would be great!

Seems like it would have to be more than $7!
 
To the OP, you can use a 2000w or 1500w high density element made by Camco found at Home Depot. Just depends on how quickly you want to heat your water. If you go 2000w, make sure you plug it into at least a 20amp circuit with GFCI.
