Bought the Coopers Kit for my bday present earlier this month and have made my first batch of Dark Ale. If canned kits are this good, I may never "buy" another beer again!

Needless to say, the Coopers Lager that came with the kit is now in the primary...

I have two more kits coming, the stout and the sparkling ale. After those, I'm going to try this oatmeal stout:

Am I making too big of a jump for a beginner? I'm brand new to the hobby, but I think I'm going to need something a little more challenging than the Coopers in the long run. Thoughts? Suggestions?

If you want more of a challenge then don't buy kits. This opens up possibilities of making more kinds of beer. Then, after you've gotten good at making beer that's not from a kit, start making all-grain beer.

The sky's the limit if you want a challenge.
