I've done about 4 partial mash batches now, a light, IPA, fat tire clone, and a hefeweizen... the IPA and fat tire turned out really good, but both the light and the hefe ended up with a smoky taste... I don't like it and am wondering what the cause could be? its almost like eating a hamburger made by someone who dumped too much liquid smoke on it... I'm scared to make another light beer or hefe for that matter...
