In the Homebrewer's Answer Book he mentions that lagers could be carbed in the keg as a secondary without any sugar, by racking and sealing the keg (about 15 PSI I assume from another thread) and then follow the rest of the process time (secondary conditioning, D-rest, lagering, etc.) by never venting and allowing the beer to absorb the CO2.

Has anyone done this before? Or something close?
I'm planning on trying out and then force carbing if flat, as I want it with zero sediment. I'll probably force transfer from keg to keg or force filter prior to the lagering phase as well.

Ironically I seemed to have pulled this off on an Irish Ale. I just started using kegs as secondaries and left an Irish red sitting in the closet kegged and sealed for over 2 weeks, and it has a nice light carb on it now. Can't wait to try this for my Lager.
