Bottled my first brew, an Irish red ale, last night. I now have 48 pretty little maids in a row self carbonating. Even made up a label and name. Gutbucket Blues Red Tail Ale and now the waiting begins. Luckily I have a porter that I'm going to brew today, 5 gallons of hard cider in the secondary, and a fridge full of micro brew. life is good.

I just finished brewing up a porter and it went a lot better than my first brewing. Two things I learned this time, if you place your kettle of wort on top of a snow pile it will end up at the bottom of the pile and your girlfriend won't find it funny if you make the used up hop pellets look like dog doo and put it on the front step other than that everything went well. My red ale kit I got from midwest brewing supply.
