Wanted to says thanks and give the noobs some help.
Thanks for the help on my first batch everyone who answered my questions.
I made a English brown ale from Brewers best, fermented for 3 weeks at 68 degrees in a single stage. I used the Nottingham yeast that was very slow to start. I did not see any activity until 5 days after pitching, but everything did work great. Gravity was where it was supposed to be in the end. So RDWHAHB.
