So I just located the wild hops I had seen last year on a walk. It looks like I am a bit late on the harvest as they are not really wet. They smell really good though. The biggest issue is the little piss ants all over them. I plan to dehydrate them, but does anyone have advice on the ants?

The other questions are:

Is there a way to identify them?
Is there a way to determine the AAU?

Thanks

thats more protein, just make a fire ant beer.

Find a local grower and see if he can identify, and as for the AUU.. its gonna cost you money to send to a lab. Just use it late in your boil.

Occasionally as I vac seal, I see a bug in the bag. I don't mention this to people that drink my beer.

That's all I do- or technically don't do.
