I'm throwing this up for a friend. He has a keezer that has a few rust spots developing in it. He's not sure how they got there as he is careful to keep the inside dry when he cleans etc. He was wondering if there is anything available to fix the spots that have already appeared and/or prevent more spots from showing up. Thanks!

Treat the rust spots with a rust-converter.
Paint them with appliance touch-up paint.
Then WAX the interior with a good automotive wax.

The same thing happened to me in my fermenter chest freezer. I used some marine rust remover, touched up the paint, and then used a marine grade wax.

I also bought an Eva-Dry dehumidifier from Amazon. You plug it in when it gets full of moisture, it evaporates, and then you can use it again. It was only around $20.

Get some Damp-Rid

I have two of the smaller containers in my keezer and have no issues with rust.
