Keggle Weldless to Welded question

I have a keg with the top cut off. I was going to use weldless fittings. I bought them then found a guy who does welding. The guy will do it super cheap. Can I just have him weld in the weldless ss coupler? Or do I need to buy new parts?

If you mean the internally threaded ferrule, that'd work. You'd then be able to screw in whatever suits your fancy from either side...
